STEM education is the practice of educating students in science, technology, engineering, and math disciplines as an integrated curriculum based on real world applications. Teaching STEM means teaching skills the way they will be used in the workforce. A STEM based curriculum uses real-life situations to help students learn. Many STEM activities provide hands-on lessons for the students and require critical thinking.
At St. Joan of Arc, we are in the process of attaining our STEM certification because we believe in the value of STEM education.
