2021 Registration is Now Open!

CAMP CHANGES
This year, we are excited to announce that the St. Joan of Arc Summer Camp will be offered at two locations. Our traditional STEM Camp will be offered at our new school location on Sand Hill Road in Hummelstown, PA with a week-to-week registration. Our new Summer Day Camp will be offered at our old location on Areba Avenue in Hershey, PA with full-term registration and extended hours.

DETAILS - STEM CAMP

St. Joan of Arc School offers 10 weeks of STEM Summer Camp! Each week is themed and will incorporate theme-related academic domains with exciting activities. Camp runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (new, extended hours) on Monday through Friday. You may register for one or more weeks. The cost is $200 per week per child and includes a snack. A $27.99 non-refundable registration fee per child AND a $10 per week deposit is required at registration. Camp must be paid in full one-month prior to the start date each week.

DETAILS - DAY CAMP

St. Joan of Arc is happy to announce a new camp option for families who need extended care hours during the day. Our new Summer Day Camp runs from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Monday through Friday. Registration is for the full 10-week term. The cost is $2,000 per child for the entire 10-week period. A $27.99 non-refundable registration fee per child AND a $100 per week deposit is required at registration. Camp must be paid in full one-month prior to the start date.

Registration Details

This year, we are using a new registration and payment software called Camp Network! We believe this software will help us to streamline the registration and payment process, making it easier both for you as a parent, and for us as a school. You will be able to click the registration link and sign up for any sessions you would like.

Note: When registering, choose the grade that your child will enter for the 2021-2022 school year.

​During registration, you will have the opportunity to:
  • REQUIRED: Register for the session "00-Registration Fee (Required - 1 per child)."  This is how we will collect your non-refundable registration fee.
  • Register your child(ren) for up to 10 weeks of STEM camp or a full term for Day Camp! You will only be able to register one child at a time, but the software will allow you to pre-fill answers from a previous registration when registering additional children, to make filling out the forms easier.
  • Choose your child's t-shirt size and buy additional shirts. This year, as a part of registration, your child will receive a camp t-shirt. You may purchase additional t-shirts as you wish, for an additional $12 per shirt. (Optional)
  • Sign up for text alerts. When asked if you want text alerts, please choose NO. We will send all communications via email.
  • View camp documents and policies. You will be able to review the camp handbook (once completed) and the camp's refund, behavior, and cancellation policies.
  • REQUIRED: Pay a deposit (STEM Camp - $10/child per week  |  Day Camp - $100 per child). While your camp payment isn't due in full until a month prior to the start of camp, a deposit will be due upon registration. Our new software requires at least a minimum deposit for each week. Without doing a deposit, we would have to bill you in full at the time of registration.

We are doing payments differently this year.  In previous years, we've had several children not show up for camp each week without prior notice. This resulted in a financial loss to the school; and a lack of notice made it impossible for our wait listed children to attend camp. To mitigate these issues, we are doing payments differently now. We hope the new policies will ensure that all camp spots are filled by children who will actually attend each week.

2 Ways to Pay:
  1. Pay online through the registration link (preferred)
    1. A $2.99 and 2.5% credit card processing fee will be applied to all online payments, as required by the new software. 
  2. Submit a check to the school.
    1. Drop off or mail in a check written to St. Joan of Arc School. Include a note that indicates each child’s names (first and last), the week(s) for which you are paying, and the camp for which you are paying (STEM Camp or Day Camp).
    2. SEND ALL PAYMENTS TO:  ATTN: STEM CAMP | St. Joan of Arc School, 1525 Sand Hill Road, Hummelstown PA 17036

​Payments are due IN FULL 1 month prior to the week your child is attending. For example, if your child is attending week 1 that starts on Monday, June 7, your payment is due by Friday, May 7 at 4:00 pm. If your payment is not received on time, your child may not be able to attend camp that week as we will be giving unfilled spots to our wait listed children.

Waitlist:
If you are on the wait list for any week, you will be notified as soon as a spot opens up for your child. Open spots will be filled by registration date. For example, a person who registered on April 3, will be ahead of a person who registered on April 15. If no spots open up, you will be notified the Friday prior to that week.

Behavior Policy
Children who misbehave will be separated from the rest of the group and may not be able to participate in some of the day’s activities, as decided by the camp teachers. Children who intentionally hurt others will be completely removed from the classroom in an effort to protect the rest of the group. If any child is constantly and intentionally hurting others throughout the week, he or she may be asked to leave camp and not return. If this is the case for your child, you may be asked to pick him or her up in the middle of the day, depending on the gravity of the situation. This is our way of keeping all of our campers safe throughout the week. Any child who is asked to leave camp because of violent or aggressive behavior will not be subject to a refund.

Late Pick-Up Policy

​STEM CAMP

Any child who is picked up after 5:05 pm will be subject to a late fee of $15 per 15 minutes after 5:00 pm. For example, a child who is picked up after 5:15 pm will owe a $15 late fee. A child who is picked up after 5:30 pm will owe a $30 late fee. Children who are consistently not picked up on time may be asked to find other summer arrangements. Please respect our teachers’ time and pick-up your children by 5:00 pm.

DAY CAMP
Any child who is picked up after 6:05 pm will be subject to a late fee of $15 per 15 minutes after 6:00 pm. For example, a child who is picked up after 6:15 pm will owe a $15 late fee.
