Earned her Teaching Certification from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, specializing in science education in 2006.

Taught middle and high school science courses for 10 years in various states (Louisiana, North Dakota, and North Carolina).

Served as an educational consultant and curriculum writer for multiple educational platforms.

STEM & Computer Technology

Saint Joan of Arc School Computer Technology Curriculum
Each class has computer technology once a week. We are well equipped with iPads, green screen, interactive white boards, Lego robotics, Finch 2.0 robots, Makey Makey, Ozobot Bit robots, and student Chromebooks. Our computer technology classes strive to help students develop into empowered learners, digital citizens, knowledge constructors, innovative designers, computational thinkers, creative communicators and collaborators.
In addition to computer classes, the computer iPad cart and chromebook carts are available at various times during the week for classroom teachers to utilize for those that are not in a 1:1 Chromebook classroom situation.
At the start of each school year, all students in grades pre-kindergarten through eight and their parents sign an agreement to abide by the policies of our SJA Student/Parent Handbook which contains our Internet Acceptable Use Policy which includes appropriate use of the Google for Education Applications. Safe computer and Internet practices are taught and emphasized at every grade level.
The Diocese of Harrisburg's Technology Curriculum is based on the National Education Technology Standards for Students and the Pennsylvania Education Technology Standards. The Diocesan Technology Curriculum may be accessed on the Diocesan website here. St. Joan of Arc School strives to integrate technology throughout all subject areas. This often means extending the learning in the classroom to applications in the computer lab.
