WINGS - Extended School Program

The WINGS Extended School Program provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging after-school environment for students of St. Joan of Arc School. As an extension of the school day, WINGS supports the school’s values while providing a welcoming space where students can continue to learn, build friendships, and grow. The program encourages academic, social, and emotional development while offering families dependable after-school care.
WINGS is supervised by trained staff members who are committed to providing a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for every child. Staff receive ongoing training, and staffing levels are maintained according to the number and ages of students in attendance to ensure appropriate supervision throughout the program.
The program operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is open to students in Preschool (3-year-olds) through Grade 8. Students in Grades 6–8 may have opportunities to serve as Junior Helpers, assisting younger students while developing leadership skills, responsibility, and confidence.
Each afternoon, students enjoy a structured schedule that includes snack time, homework support, indoor and outdoor recreation, and planned enrichment activities. Activities may include arts and crafts, STEM projects, seasonal celebrations, and other age-appropriate activities designed to keep students engaged, active, and having fun in a safe and supportive environment.
Enrollment information is available through the school office. WINGS tuition will be billed through Simple Tuition Solutions and added to each family’s tuition statement.

How to Pick Up your child from Wings
Step 1: Display Your Hang Tag
Before arriving, make sure your WINGS pickup hang tag is clearly visible in the front window of your vehicle.
Step 2: Send a Text Message
When you arrive, text 223-278-3172 with your child’s first name, last name, and grade.
If you are picking up multiple children, include the first name, last name, and grade of each child.
Step 3: Wait for a Response
A WINGS staff member will respond and tell you where your child is located:
Step 4: Go to the Correct Location
Go to the location provided by the WINGS staff member. Park your vehicle, get out, and meet your child at the designated location.
Step 5: Sign Your Child Out
Find the WINGS staff member holding the sign-out sheet and sign your child out. Children may not leave until an authorized pickup person has completed the sign-out process.

Important Reminders
- Keep your WINGS hang tag visible during pickup.
- Children will only be released to an authorized pickup person.
- Be prepared to show identification if requested.
- Always sign your child out before leaving.
Throughout September, WINGS children will celebrate Football, Farms & Fall! They will enjoy football-themed games, creative farm crafts, apple activities, and colorful fall projects. Children will also spend time outdoors enjoying the cooler weather while learning, creating, and having fun with friends.
